Wildlife Watch

Things have been fairly quiet recently, with no reports of any unusual sightings reaching our ears. No sign of a passing whale or dolphin although we keep a regular eye out, in the area of the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse. Thank goodness for the ever-present seals - they are never far away! As a result of the good weather we enjoyed in Lewis and the rest of the Outer Hebrides, breeding birds have had a successful nesting season. Although the chicks have now fledged, the parent birds are still kept busy feeding them.

Stay up the great paintings! You recognize, many individuals are hunting around for this information, you could help them greatly.
